The problem

A missed call isn't a missed call.
It's a missed job.

Nobody locked out at midnight — or with water coming through the ceiling — leaves a voicemail. They hang up and ring the next name on Google. You never even know the job existed.

You're on the tools

You can't answer the phone with both hands on a job — under a sink, up a ladder, mid-rewire. But that's exactly when the next job rings in.

It's after hours

Emergencies don't keep office hours. Burst pipes, dead boilers, power cuts and lockouts happen at 11pm — and whoever answers gets the job.

They don't wait for you

Google shows them ten more trades the second you don't pick up. Voicemail is where emergency jobs go to die.

Every emergency call is worth real money. Miss a couple a month and you've quietly lost more than most vans cost to run.

How it works

Four steps. You don't lift a finger.

Your website is built free, before you pay a penny — you see the finished thing and say yes or no. After that, every call you can't answer follows the same four steps.

1

The phone rings — you can't get to it

On the tools, after hours, no signal: instead of hitting voicemail, the call diverts. You keep your own number.

2

Answered in your business name, 24/7

The receptionist picks up instantly — 3am included — and takes the caller's name, address, problem and urgency.

3

The job ticket lands in your pocket

The customer gets an instant text back so they stop ringing round; you get the full job on WhatsApp.

4

You ring back and take the job

When your hands are free — and the customer never rang the next trade on Google.

What the trades say

The proof that counts is another tradesman's word.

Straight with you: this is new, so I'm not going to paste up reviews I haven't earned yet. The moment my first clients give me a line I can stand behind, their real words go right here — name, trade and town, nothing invented. In the meantime, the proof is live and testable: 25 working sites you can open, and a line you can ring right now — 020 4577 2888 — to judge the receptionist yourself.

Answering live now

Don't take my word for it. Ring it.

020 4577 2888

This is the exact receptionist your customers would get. Ring it now, pretend you've a burst pipe, and watch how it feels to be your own customer.

The job ticket lands by text in seconds — that's what would hit your pocket.

What's included

One plan. The whole lot.

Everything an independent trade business needs to stop leaking jobs — set up for you, run for you.

Custom-built website

Hand-built around your reviews, your area and your emergency number. Fast, mobile-first, with a one-tap call button. Hosting, domain setup and updates included — text a change, it's done.

24/7 call answering

Missed and after-hours calls are answered in your business name by an AI receptionist trained on your services. It takes the job details and flags genuine emergencies straight to you.

Missed-call text-back

The second a call is missed, the customer gets a text back in your business's name — their details are in, someone's on it, stop scrolling Google. You get the lead with everything you need to price the job.

Google Business Profile

Your profile set up and kept sharp — right categories, service areas, photos and posts — so when someone nearby searches "emergency plumber" or "electrician near me", you actually show up.

Review engine

Job done? Your customer gets a polite text asking for a Google review — mentioning the actual work, sent in your name. More reviews, better ranking, more calls. It compounds.

Quote chaser

Quotes that go quiet get a friendly nudge by text after three days, and one final follow-up a few days later — never pushy, always in your name. Dead quotes come back to life.

Booking requests taken

The receptionist doesn't just take a message — it asks when suits, pencils in morning or evening, and it's on the job ticket. You ring back to confirm a time, not to start over.

Photo triage

Customer sends a photo of the job? You get back what it likely is, the parts to bring and how urgent it looks — before anyone's even picked up the phone. Right van, first visit.

Pricing

Simple. Two numbers.

The website preview is completely free — you look at the finished site before deciding anything. If you want it, it's free to go live — no setup fee, then £99 a month for everything: hosting, updates, 24/7 call answering, job tickets and your Google profile.

The whole deal in one line: you see it free first, your first month is free, and if it hasn't caught you a job in 30 days you've paid nothing — no contract, cancel any time.

Most trades cover the month with a single job that would otherwise have gone to voicemail.

N
Who you're dealing with

Run by Nat. Belfast.

Goodstanding is one person, not an agency. I build every site myself, I set up every phone line myself, and when you text about changing your prices or adding a photo, it's me who replies — usually the same day.

A bit about me, since you're trusting me with your calls: I've run my own business up to £30k a month before this, and I'm technical enough that I built this whole system myself — the websites, the AI receptionist, all of it. That's how I keep it at £99 a month instead of agency prices, and why anything you need changed gets done fast by the person who actually made it.

I work with independent trades across the UK, Ireland and Australia — plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, gas and heating engineers and air-con installers. Anywhere a missed call means a lost job, this setup earns its keep. No account managers, no ticket systems, no offshore support. You'll have my number, and I answer it. (It'd be a bit rich if I didn't.)

Straight answers

Fair questions.

The things every tradesman asks before signing up — answered without the waffle.

Do I actually need to do anything?

Almost nothing. The website gets built from your existing Google reviews and photos before you've paid anything — you just look at it and say yes or no. For the call answering, the only job on your end is a call divert setting on your phone, and I'll walk you through that in about two minutes.

I've already got a website. Is this still useful?

Yes. The call answering, WhatsApp job tickets and Google profile work all run alongside whatever site you have. That said, most existing trade sites are slow and don't convert on mobile — a fresh build is included in the price anyway, so you may as well see the free preview and compare them side by side.

How does the answering work? Do I have to change my number?

You keep your number. Your phone rings first, like always. Only when you don't pick up — engaged, after hours, no signal — does the call divert to the answering service, which answers in your business name, takes the caller's name, address, problem and urgency, then texts them confirmation and sends you the details on WhatsApp.

What exactly happens when I miss a call?

The call diverts and is answered in your business name, day or night. The receptionist takes the caller's name, address, what's gone wrong and how urgent it is. The customer gets a text back straight away confirming their details are in and someone will be in touch — so they stop ringing round Google — and the full job ticket lands in your pocket. You ring back when your hands are free.

Is it a robot answering?

Yes — it's an AI receptionist, and I'm upfront about that because it's exactly why this costs £99 a month instead of the £200–£400 most human answering services charge — and they still clock off at night. It picks up instantly, at 3am, on Christmas Day, and it never puts a caller through to voicemail. Don't take my word for how it sounds: ring 020 4577 2888 right now and judge it yourself — that's the same receptionist that would be answering for you.

Will customers know it's not me answering?

It answers with your business name and it's trained on your services and your patch, so the caller gets a proper, polite response instead of voicemail. It won't pretend to be you personally — it takes the details and tells them you'll ring back. What customers remember is that someone answered at 11pm.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. Your first month is free, then it's month to month — cancel whenever you like, no cancellation fee, no notice period small print. There's no setup fee — £99/month is the only number, and your first month is completely free.

What if it doesn't actually get me any jobs?
You simply cancel before the first payment — that's the First-Job Guarantee. If the receptionist doesn't catch you at least one job in your first 30 days, you've paid nothing: the first month is free and there's no setup fee. Between that and the free first month, the only thing you can lose by trying it is the two minutes it takes to set up your call divert.
What happens if I cancel?

Your call divert switches off and your phone behaves exactly as it did before — your number was always yours. If you bought your own domain, that's yours too and I'll help point it wherever you want. Hosting for the site stops at the end of your paid month. No hostage-taking.
